Take after take to get it right, this ONE SHOT concept music video for The Afters was shot recently in Windsor, Ontario Canada for their song “Never Going Back To Ok”. The director is filmmaker Gavin Michael Booth who when not shooting music videos is on a mission to post a new video everyday and this was day 569 of his journey.

Hit TV Shows Choose Songs From The Afters

Mainstream Spotlight: The Afters

The Afters was founded by Joshua Havens and Matt Fuqua while working together in a Starbucks coffee shop in Mesquite, Texas. They would play for their customers between frappachinos. They added Brad Wigg and Marc Dodd, who were surprisingly also employed at the same Starbucks. It must have been tough for this local Starbucks to staff up once the four of them left the barrister for good.

They originally formed their band under the name Blisse, and recorded a six-song EP in 2000. From this they made enough money to cut their first album, “When the World Is Wonderful”, which was released independently in 2001. This album contains songs also released on their major label debut album “I Wish We All Could Win”. Read more

Josh from The Afters gets punked by fans

The Afters will kick off their first of many Summer Festival tour stops this weekend at Big Splash 08’ in Federal Way, WA. I hope their lead singer, Josh, doesn’t run into a group of their fans called the Diehards. Last week a few of these Diehards pranked Josh after a show!
