CD Review: Jon Foreman “Spring & Summer”
Our good friend Vanessa at EMI sent us a copy of Jon Foreman’s new project “Spring & Summer” to review. Let’s just say these 12 songs, 2 CD’s and Jon’s voice will take you on a musical journey.

I’d rather share with you about how his lyrics have changed my heart and view of what the Lord really wants from me every season and every day. There are two tracks (one from each disc) that really moved me.
On the “Spring” CD you’ll find track 5 “Your Love Is Strong”. Here are the lyrics… Read more

Mainstream Spotlight: Switchfoot
In it’s opening weekend, “The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian” has dethroned “Ironman” as ruler of the movie box office. If you were one of the ones to go out and see it over the weekend then there’s no doubt you heard “This Is Home” from Switchfoot . This is Home is currently available on iTunes - Get it here!
This isn’t the first time they’ve had their songs in a movie, though. In 2002 the movie “A Walk to Remember” featured four of their songs.
In fact, it was this recognition that led to their major label debut, “The Beautiful Letdown”, which was released in 2003. It went on to sell over 2.6 million copies and produced the band’s best-known singles, “Meant to Live” and “Dare You to Move”.

You may have missed it (due to your last minute Mother’s Day gift), but on Saturday we posted their new music video for the The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian movie that will open nationwide this weekend.
Switchfoot frontman hosts his own radio show
I just found out that Switchfoot’s frontman Jon Foreman will host a special edition of Spiritrocks on Sirius Satellite Radio’s Spirit music channel this Saturday, starting at midnight (ET).
He’ll share stories behind his new solo project and play songs from Switchfoot as well as other artists he admires. I wonder who will make the cut on Jon’s show. Following his guest host spot, he’ll then sit down for an exclusive interview and a special eight-song acoustic performance.
