WOW Hits 2009 Sees Double Digit Increase Over 2008

WOW Hits 2009 released earlier this month and it has already seen a double digit increase over the WOW Hits 2008 project, in spite of a down economy and all-time low of recorded music sales. These hits compilation projects continue to set sales records in fact this new WOW project has seen an 11% increase in sales compared to last year’s collection, outselling WOW Hits 2008 in both of the first two weeks of sales. Get to know the Michael Gungor Band

We’re very excited to share with you the music and ministry of the Michael Gungor Band. First thing you should know is that this is a family affair, with Michael’s wife Lisa on keys and background vocals. They recently signed to one of our favorite labels Brash Music (Aaron Shust, Chris Sligh). Michael is best known for writing the chart-topping “Friend of God” for Phillips, Craig and Dean. This Beautiful Republic returns August 19th with a new Forefront Records/EMI album, entitled “Perceptions.” The title deals with the idea that there are at least two sides to every story. Things inevitably appear different to each individual based on their experiences, predispositions, prejudices or vantage point. When we understand this, that what we see may not be the whole truth, we arrive where grace and love prevail. A preview of “Perceptions” was released last July 8 release “Learning to Fall,” a three-track digital-only single for just $0.99 that also includes two previous live tracks.

Family Force 5 to drop new project Aug. 19th

Family Force 5 is currently on the “Vans Warped Tour 08″ until August 17th and then two days later on August 19th they’ll release their sophomore project “Dance Or Die”.

This new release is a strategic partnership between the Transparent Media Group founded by the band’s Olds brothers, manager Chris Woltman and producer Joe Baldridge with EMI Music Marketing and Tooth & Nail Records. Bill Gagnon, Sr. VP of EMI Music had this to say…

Downhere to drop “Ending Is Beginning” Sept. 23rd

We’re very excited and can’t wait to hear the new Downhere project “Ending Is Beginning”, which will become available on September 23rd. This is the follow-up project to Wide Eyed & Mystified”. This new project features twelve brand new songs, plus the bonus track “How Many Kings” from their 2007 hit. All of the were written by Marc Martel & Jason Germain and produced by Mark Hiemermann (DC Talk, MWS), Stephen Gause (Jars of Clay, Derek Webb) and downhere.
