Indie News: Ilia rocks Lifest… TWICE!
Hey, if you’re fortunate enough to be headed to Lifest this weekend, be sure to check out The Edge Main Stage at 3:45pm on Saturday and then, on The Pit Stage at 8:00pm as Ilia, the rockers from AK will be rocking the land of cheese hard and well.
In addition to the rockin’ at the festivals this summer, the ladies also have a very full schedule coming up that will keep them on the road steadily through September. Not bad considering just a few months ago they were sitting on a bus with Eowyn wondering if they’d be able to even get that tour off the ground. Now it appears they’re even going to be making a west coast run and maybe, just maybe even be near Sacramento….

We got this e-mail from Joe of NEEDTOBREATHE late in the day on Saturday and wanted to make sure your in the loop on the latest with the band. It looks like they rocked out in the rain at this weekend Icthus Festival, they take turns driving the van (who knew) and his new favorite snack is microwaved edamames. If you don’t know what an edamame is there usually served at Sushi restaurants while you wait for your meal. I’m a fan of these little green beans, but I don’t know about the whole microwave thing. It’s happening right now! Spirit West Coast - Del Mar is underway and there’s all kinds of great music happening in Southern California this weekend. What’s that? You’re not there? That’s ok. Neither are we. Lucky for us (and you) that we have Robin on the scene covering things for us.
Rodney and I will be taking a much deserved break from the web and computers this weekend so we can connect with family and friends. We’ll be back Tuesday with more stuff!

I’m headed to SWC Del Mar…how about you?
It’s summer time, which means it’s starting to get hot and the festivals are about to get rolling! Every summer there is one festival I always look forward to and that is Spirit West Coast. I’m going to be heading down to Del Mar, CA for Spirit West Coast on Thursday, May 22nd. It’s going to be a long drive (I think it’s about 8 hours) but I’m almost sure it will be worth it!
