Checking in with Bart Millard from MercyMe
In our own selfish attempt to get approved for MercyMe’s new blog site, we thought it would help our chances if we shared Bart’s e-mail about it with you. If you’re a fan of ours, please leave a comment for Bart and the boys that StereoTruth.net is your trusted source for today’s Christian music news, and we support them and their music. Here’s the e-mail…
Boys and girls, the word of the day is…Blog. Say it with me…bluh-ogggg. What does this word mean you ask? It means MercyMe sits around like 9 year olds with nothing to do being as ridiculous as possible. Now say it again…blog.
Getting to know Remedy Drive
Remedy Drive consists of four brothers: David, Philip, Paul, and Daniel Zach. They’re anything but a new band, after playing over 200 shows for each of the past few years while becoming a west coast and midwest audience favorite. What, you’ve never heard of Remedy Drive?
Well, that’s all going to change after you read this post. Thanks to our good friend Jordan at Warner Brothers Records, we scored this exclusive interview with David. He’ll talk about their music, why he wants to see U2 live, their new tour bus and much more. Read more
The countdown begins for SWC Del Mar
The countdown begins! I have my paper chain all ready. There is only one more week until Spirit West Coast Del Mar and I’m SO excited!
Since my update last week, I’ve been doing research on all the bands that are playing this festival. Trying to find any fun facts or weird trivia to get inside their heads with haha. All of us here at the StereoTruth.net headquarters have been trying to get all our stuff together for the festival. Making sure we have all our passes, video cameras, and digital cameras ready so we can capture all the fun happenings during Spirit West Coast Del Mar. I’m praying that we do not forget anything! Chasen chasing down a rocking chair
Mother’s Day is right around the corner, so I thought this e-mail from Chasen would make all you Moms cry and then celebrate with joy at the new arrival on the way.
Today my friend (Stevo) & I went to pick up a nice rocking chair from Babies-R-Us. All went good, we picked it up and put in a truck I borrowed from my other friend B-Holda. We tied it down with bungee cables so it was in there pretty good but I still felt something odd about the box.
Recap American Idol 7: Top 4 Resluts
Last night’s American Idol results show appeared to be a no brainer, since most of America believed that since Jason Castro forgot his lyrics he would be eliminated. 51 million votes were cast and that was the highest for the season. The top three were all within one million votes of each other. That’s a pretty wide margin if you ask me.
The Top 4 open up the show by singing Steely Dan’s “Reelin’ in the Years.” It was once again very cheesy, to say the least. Then we got a really, really, really long look at Tuesday night’s performances. You know you’re down to the final four when all you have for content is flashback video. I know a better way to fill time, how about talking to the final four? How do you feel? What do you think will happen? Are you ready to go home? Just a thought. Read more
