Rockers Skillet and Papa Roach have announced plans to join forces and destroy crowds across the US with their Monsters of Annihilation tour beginning October 1st in Myrtle Beach, SC at The House of Blues. Armed with their RIAA gold-certified AWAKE album which features two Active Rock and Christian Rock radio hits with “Monster” and “Hero,” Skillet will be joined by Papa Roach who has a current Top 10 Active Rock smash “Kick in the Teeth” from their upcoming album, Time For Annihilation…On the Record and on the Road (August 31st via Eleven Seven Music). Skillet’s front man John Cooper had this to say…

The first time we played with Papa Roach, I told the band we have to tour with these guys because they have an amazing live show! Jacoby is one of the best front men I’ve seen in years and I’m honored to share the stage with him. This tour is going to rock!!

Papa Roach front man Jacoby Shaddix added…

We’ve become good friends with Skillet over the past couple years and are excited to jump on the road with them. Having both Papa Roach and Skillet together on one stage, you best believe we’re going to burn it down!!! Get ready for total stage annihilation.

Skillet’s one of the hardest working live acts, their solo tours ranked within Pollstar’s Concert Pulse Top 50 Tours and landed the band on the cover of the magazine. Skillet has spent the last year on the road with Creed, Shinedown, various headline festival appearances and the “Awake & Alive” co-headline tour with TobyMac.

Papa Roach continues to fortify their reputation as one of the best live bands regardless of genre and recently electrified the 100,000 plus audience at this year’s Sonisphere festival in the UK with an explosive performance of which Metal Hammer said…

The Roach are sensational for every second they are onstage.

With over 8 million records sold, Papa Roach has produced multi-format hits on every album they have released over the past ten years, proving their longevity and relevance throughout. With Time for Annihilation…On The Record and On The Road, Papa Roach bring together what they do best by delivering a highly energetic entertainment package for fans old and new alike.  With the release of this record, the band continue their long term commitment to Why Hunger, raising funds and awareness for the 49 million Americans and more than 1 billion people worldwide who are hungry.  In addition to auctioning off VIP experiences during this tour with all proceeds going to Why Hunger, the band included a hidden track on the record, a first in philanthropy, to encourage fans to text to donate as they do live in concert.

  1. Brenda says:

So, does Skillet still consider themselves Christian??

  2. Jordan Peters says:

I believe that they do. Some people question that since they go on tour with “secular” Bands. I have seen Skillet live many times and they have always kept God in the center of their lives. You can still let God light shine when on tour with secular bands. I have heard them give God praise not just in the music but also in word at concerts. I think they know where they came from and dont think they are turning around from their beliefs.

  3. Josh says:

No way there christian; wolf in sheep’s clothing. There is a spirit of rebellion attached to their music. Ask anyone who truly serves God, and has listened to their music. PARENTS BEWARE!
