Last night American Idol Season 9 was chopped down from 12 to 11. It also included a live performance from David Cook, Ryan and Simon discussed Ryan’s “aggressive” behavior on Tuesday night and the judges now have the ability to save a contestant for the next 6 weeks which gives them the choice to save a singer eliminated by America.
Before we get started check out David’s performance of the Rolling Stones’ “Jumpin’ Jack Flash.”
Ryan talked with David about his next project that he is currently busy working on. David will also be going to Africa for Idol Gives Back.
Time for the results…
Paige Miles stood up first and quickly learned that she was in the bottom 3.
Lee Dewyze was next. He said he needs to let loose from this moment on. Lee is safe for another week.
Siobhan was up next. She received more comparisons to Adam Lambert from the judges. Without a doubt Siobhan is safe.
Aaron Kelly was next. Ryan compared his performance this week to Justin Timberlake. Ryan needs to stop telling him this. He’s going to be back for another week.
Andrew Garcia and Tim Urban stood up. Kara was not comfortable seeing people leave, but believed both of them belong in the Bottom 3. Andrew found out he was safe. Tim moved into the Bottom 3.
Didi was up next. She talked about going with her intuition when picking songs to sing. Didi will have to picl another new song next week because she is safe.
Crystal Bowersox was next. She talked about never thinking for one second that she had the AI crown in the bag, but she is one second closer as she moved on next week.
Katie Stevens was next. Katie said the judges remarks can be confusing. Kara said she sees her more as a Pop R&B singer. Simon disagreed and thinks she should be doing country. Anyway, Katie is safe.
Mike Lynch was next. He watched his performance back after Tuesday’s show and he doesn’t think he’s corny. Neither does America and he will be back next week.
Lacey Brown and Casey James are the last two standing. Lacey learned she was in the Bottom 3 which meant Casey was safe for another week.
Simon thought one of the bottom 3 contestants was worth saving. But, before he had to pick Ryan sends Tim Urban back to the couches.
Then it was elimination time for the final elimination.
Randy isn’t surprised to see Paige and Lacey Brown in the bottom 2. Ryan let’s Lacey know she is eliminated. But, the judges had the choice to save her and decided not too.
Lacey sang a song called “The Story” which was different then her performance song. Weird!
