On Tuesday we reported that Family Force 5 bassist/vocalist Joshua “Fatty” Olds had been hospitalized due to kidney failure. FF5 frontman (and his brother) Solomon “Soul Glow Activatur” Olds has been keeping us up to date on his current condition the last few days. We wanted to pass this info along to you in case you missed any of his good news…
After our first report Tuesday (12/1) Morning…
They are starting Fatty on dialysis treatments due to kidney failure today. He should receive three of them. Continue prayer for him.
Tuesday (12/1) Night…
Our FF5 Pageant show Thursday (12/3) in Indianapolis, IN is canceled. Sorry we have to do this guys!
Wednesday (12/2) Morning…
Fatty is doing a 2nd dialysis treatment today. DR say he’s a tiny bit better:) thank u all 4 ur support but keep sending thoughts & prayers!
Wednesday (12/2) Afternoon…
My bro’s kidneys r regaining strength but DR r tryin to find the solution. He has an overproductive enzyme that’s causing the prob.
Early (12/3) this Morning…
Fatty’s weird enzyme numbers are coming down!! It’s a good thing! The crew & the band r here & he looks happier & better. I love him!!
Praise God that he is showing up to heal Fatty’s kidneys. Please don’t stop praying for him, Please keep Fatty, the Olds family and the Family Force 5 tour family today. Once we have another round of updates from Soul Glow Activatur we’ll be sure to pass them along to you. Saw FF5 for the first time at WARPED tour. . so fun! But the Really Real Shows are the greatest thing to hit the internet. . .I can’t wait for ya’ll to start making more! Praying for complete healing. . the Lord is the Great Healer!

I was at the Nov. 30th show in Bourbonnais, IL. It was a bummer not seeing you there!
I’m so sorry this problem hit you so suddenly. Soul Glow was able to muster up enough good cheer to wish everyone Merry Christmas despite his obvious concern for you, though. I really wanted to meet all you guys. Oh well, maybe next time. But in the meanwhile, I will be praying for you and your family. Get well soon, Fatty.

Well, other than his awesomely awesome guitar spins, my favorite memory of Fatty happened last month. They were preforming at Alive 09 and I thought it was amazing that Fatty was shaking his boo—tayy around the place like he didnt care who saw him.

I hope that you get better. I have been praying for you and your family at this hard time and i will keep praying for you guys. I have been so glad that i have found a good christian band to listen to. I know what it is like to have someone you love in the hospital my dad has been in there for 3 years non stop. heeeeeyyyy, brother in christ!!!!! ;P omigosh i couldnt believe that u were in the hospital. i’ve really been praying for u to get better cuz prayer is powerful thing and God can do anything (sorry if this sounds corny lol.) anyways…. u rock and u need to get better OR ELSE….cuz u need to get back on stage and melt peoples faces off with ah-mazing music! lol and its just not family force 5 without u!!

We’re praying for you. I’m a little older than the normal FFF fan (age 51), but you never outgrow praising God with all of your being, and that’s what FFF does. We’ll praise Him together when He has healed you.
Cornerstone 2007…first FF5 show ever was amazing of course
and afterward my friends and I went over to take pictures with the band and I had them sign my shoes while the pictures were being taken…my friend had a polaroid camera and SGA started shaking it like a polaroid! All the guys followed…awesome!!!! Fatty I hope you get better real soon!!!!!
