skilletpic02Skillet is currently packing arenas across the U.S. on their  “Awake & Alive” tour. Now, they’re sure to have more new fans come to future shows as their previous project “Comatose” has been officially certified Gold (500k copies sold) by the fine folks at the RIAA. It won’t be long before their current project, “Awake,” makes it to Gold. In just 12 weeks this new project has already sold over 200,000 copies.

Along with all this great news about their album sales, mainstream Active Rock radio and video channels like MTV2 are also propelling Skillet into the national spotlight. Mainstream Active Rock radio stations have given Skillet a top 10 single with “Monster,” hitting #9. While MTV2 recently moved “Monster” into MTV2’s ELITE 8, along with the band hosting the network’s “Rock the Deuce” show and giving them time to talk about their favorite videos and more.

If that wasn’t enough good news for you Panheads then here’s one more nugget. They recently announced that Shinedown and Puddle Of Mudd will be touring with them in January and February. Are you going to go see this show? Let us know by positng your feedback in the comment box below.
