Nick Jonas & the Administration

jonasbrothersnick09In 2004, “Nicholas Jonas,” as he was called then, released a solo project way before the Jonas Brothers were signed as a trio. Nick has grown a lot since then even becoming the creative lead for their group. In fact, his older brothers refer to him as “Mr. President.”

Well, it looks like it’s “time for change” in the musical world that is The Jonas Brothers. Nick Jonas will release a new solo project with his side group called the Administration in early 2010.

Nick Jonas & the Administration are comprised of bassist/producer John Fields, drummer Michael Bland and keyboardist Tommy Barbarella (who both logged time with Prince in the New Power Generation) and guitarist David Ryan Harris. Nick recorded the Administration’s first project in Nashville while on a two-week break.

Nick describes their sound this way…

‘heart & soul,’ because the music that I make is from my heart, and the lyrics I write are from my soul.

Nick Jonas & The Administration will make their live debut at “The Grammy Nominations Concert Live!!” in Los Angeles on December 2nd. Don’t worry Jo-Bro fans, Kevin and Joe will lend some brotherly support by introducing the band at its first-ever performance inside Club Nokia.

I have to wonder if this is going to play out like Trevor from Thousand Foot Krutch. He’s the lead singer on TFK and FM Static so when you see these two bands on a tour poster Trevor is singing lead for both. Will Nick be able to put on a 3 hour concert with the Administration opening up for the Jonas Brothers World Tour in 2010? Let us know what you think in the comment box below.

No way he could pull that off…I say this as a fan of the Jonas Brothers. Joe is the stronger live vocalist. He sounds great, while Nick can barely maintain throughout their usual 90 minute set.
