Christmas+Rock+Night+2009+crnChristmas Rock Night in Germany is going to celebrate their 30th annual concert on Dec 4th and 5th with a massive line-up that will include Disciple, Thousand Foot Krutch, Fireflight, Seventh Day Slumber, The Letter Black and many more. For about half a dozen of these bands this will be their concert in Europe. I never even knew that this concert existed and want to thank our new blog friend Detlev Westermann from Germany for all of the details.

Christmas Rock Night is a Christian music festival held annually during December in Ennepetal, Germany. The festival does not focus on particular styles of Christian music, but leans toward harder forms including metal and alternative.

Founded in 1980, the first festival drew only three bands. Since then it has expanded to a two-three day event which regularly draws international artists such as POD, Disciple and Kutless. In fact our friend Detlev and his wife Martina took home the 2007 German Promikon Award in the category “Best Christian organizers.”

If money was no object would you go to this show? Let us know by posting your comments in the box below.

I’ve been going to CRN for the last 4 years now! It is by far my favorite festival/concert of the year. For me it’s a few hour drive (I’m from Holland), but the overall feeling at CRN is just awesome! I even went as far that I slept with a few friends in the parking lot because we couldn’t get a proper place to stay (because of my lack of knowledge of the German language).
