One of the biggest musical stories we’ve covered this year by far is the death of Michael Jackson. In one of our original post we asked if he could be in Heaven with Jesus. That touched off a firestorm of comments from our readers who shared their opinions on this topic. But, thanks to my new blog friend Chi’s comments yesterday I think we may now know the answer from Andrea Crouch himself…
I just saw a 1991 video where Andrae Crouch talked about a musical session where he made altar call for salvation and Michael Jackson stepped forward with his hands raised. He said that at the end of it Jackson met him and told him it was phenomenal and even videotaped it. Here’s the youtube video of this interview with Andrae Crouch.

Praise the lord. This is definitely an answer to my prayers. I have prayed that Michael did accept Christ as his savior and to see this. Praise be to the lord. I believe Michael was searching after leaving the JW and his journey led him to Christ and to salvation. Thank you Chi for posting the link. The Lord draws us to him when we are seeking him and I believe that the Lord drew Michael to him and that Michael is with him now.
I understand the interview took place in Norway in 1991, and that’s probably why the video isn’t popular here in US. I’m guessing it’s a Norwegian that posted the video on youtube as you can see the written translation is Norwegian.
God bless you, Andrae et al. I am so glad that, amongst all the vultures and the parasites that were around Michael Jackson, you guys were there to show the way, the truth and the life. Thank you for standing by him, for your ministry to others too, and for your unwavering commitment to sharing the only message that can save, heal, restore and give us hope.
PRAISE THE LORD!!! I too am thrilled to see this video. It has been my prayer ever since MJ died that he had accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. There was never any doubt over the last 40 years that he gave all the glory to God, but there was never any confirmation about his relationship with Christ. I am dancing around my living room right now just praising the Lord for His goodness and mercy and thanking Him for Micheal’s salvation. I can only imagine how much more beautiful that heavenly choir sounds with our brightest star as it’s newest member.
Thanks for posting this…..So thankful to know I will get a chance to meet him in heaven one day.
MJ was a Jehovah’s Witness for thirty years if not more and it has been documented that he went out witnessing with his Mother and his Sisters. He knew his Bible very well and if you know your Bible you will know who Jesus .I remember once hearing him say (on TV, I think it was around 2001, some kind of Celebration and I remember that he sang with his Brothers, Chris Tucker etc ) that he prayed to God to make Thriller the biggest selling Album of all time and God answered his prayers. Like King David he was a man who desperately sought God own Heart.
Thank you so much for sharing that video of Andrea and his singers. That was an interview documented for clarity sake. No one can refute it. I believe that in Michael’s asking about the Lord and Salvation he could very well have called out to the Lord and repented to accept Jesus as his Lord and Savior. he had a big heart for people and wanting to make us as One. He knew that we were one in the image of God. In God their is no color or seniority, for we are all one people.
It’s ashame it’s taking America so long to accept that. We all serve the same true and living God. Soon and very soon each of us is Going to see the King.
STOP CALLING HIM WACKO JACKO!!! HE HATES THAT NAME I LOVE YOU MICHAEL
Go on http://www.Reflectionsonthedance.com it will tell about MJ’s Faith in God!!!!!
I started to enjoy Michael a lot lately. I wish i would have done that before he died
