Superchick recently surprised young fan Stephanie Vorm, who suffers from aplastic anemia, at the Nashville Zoo. The band met with Stephanie and her family for a day of fun arranged by the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The 8-year-old’s dream was to spend a day with her favorite band, Superchick, whose music played a significant role in getting her through the initial diagnosis and treatment of her illness.
Superchick was honored to join Stephanie’s wish granters, Tracy Bossman and Susie Remelius, in presenting Stephanie with the news that her “Wish: To Go to Hawaii to Swim with the Dolphins” would soon be a reality. Superchick’s Tricia Brock had this to say about spending the day with Stephanie…
It was humbling to be part of someone’s wish, and our day with the family was so special for us. It’s encouraging to know that there are organizations like Make-A-Wish Foundation making a difference in the world one person at a time. Thanks to Make-A-Wish Foundation for involving us. It was a day we won’t soon forget.
