thebullypulpit.com is reporting that Michael Jackson, the self-proclaimed King of Pop reached out to two old friends-legendary Gospel singer Andrae Crouch and his twin sister, singer and minister, Sandra Crouch a few weeks before his tragic death.
But news of the meeting spiraled out of control as a series of blogs and emails raced around the world proclaiming that Michael had converted to Christianity at the end of one of their meetings, raising hopes, especially among Michael’s African-American fans that Michael, a onetime member of the Jehovah’s Witness sect, who had reportedly converted to Islam in 2008, had become a Christian.
The news was first widely circulated on her website by Erica Campbell, a member of Mary-Mary who, wrote…
Last night we received some good news from Terri McFaddin-Solomon who is good friends with Sandra Crouch. Three weeks ago Sandra and Andrae spent some time with their close friend, Michael Jackson. Michael asked Andrae to play, “It Won’t Be Long And We’ll Be Leaving Here.” Michael then prayed with Sandra and Andre and accepted Christ into his heart. Now he’s singing in the heavenly choir! Our hearts rejoice!
But according to Sandra Crouch, that may not quite be the full story. On a posting on her Facebook page Sandra wrote…
Not sure where that came from. We loved and respected Michael and will continue to pray for his family. All the extra is not from us.
For his part, through a spokesman, Andrae Crouch attempted to further clarify the story…
Andrae and Sandra did in fact visit with Michael Jackson two times, once at the recording studio, and once at his home in the last two months, as recently as three weeks ago, asking for prayer concerning the anointing of the Holy Spirit, and how he could make his music more ‘spiritual. So Andrae and Sandra explained to him about the anointing and about Jesus. He wanted to know what makes your hands go up, and makes you ‘come out of yourself,’ and what gives a ‘spirituality’ to the music? He then requested to hear his favorite song that he loves and wanted them to sing to him, so they…joined hands and sang together, and he said, ‘it was beautiful.’ He first heard it in New York, and loved it and wanted it on tape. He had the engineer tape the song sang to him by Andrae and Sandra. He definitely had an encounter with them.
As to whether or not the legendary singer had prayed to receive Christ, through his spokesman Crouch responded…
He did NOT reject Jesus or the prayer when (we) prayed, and gladly joined in prayer.
Andrae Crouch’s spokesman continued…
He usually doesn’t touch anybody, but he touched them, and held their hands in a circle as they sang and prayed. There was NO actual ‘sinners prayer’ however, but they did talk and pray about Jesus and the anointing of the Holy Spirit.
The Crouch’s also reported one peculiarity about Michael’s rented home. Forbidden as a child from celebrating Christmas because of his Jehovah’s Witness faith which precludes such celebration, Michael was still celebrating Christmas in June.
After reading these new facts and what you’ve heard in the news do you think Michael knew he was going to die soon? Do you think it’s possible that Michael recieved Christ before his death? Let us know by posting your comments below.

that’s a BS excuse that Andrae and his sister did not lead MJ to salvation!!! They were scared…………plain flat out scared to tell the truth!!!!!! That says a lot about their ministry……….they are people pleasers………..NOT GOD PLEASERS and God will judge then and His judgement is just! AMEN
I believe andrae and sandra are true to their ministry and God and they did what Michael needed at that time and hope it was enough for he could choose God and make it in to the kingdom and void the lake a fire because nothing in this life is worth u going there so make the change and choose Jesus and do not live ur life hoping to get in live a life so u can get in. I loved Michael I sure hope so only God knows and that is what matters man can only guess.
he did not reject jesus, he often spoke of his love for Jehovah and the conversion to “islam” was fake, there is no proof or pictures of it
did no one else ever see the interviews on tv when he quoted matthew 18? verses 1-4 about having a child like faith, and that being the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?
Andre and Sandra, prayed with him, held hands and unlike other times michael asked for an anointing, they obviously cannot say “we made him a christian” but i beleive that between that time with them and the weeks leading to his death, that the lord used them
why else would Andre be singing at his funeral?
it would be blasphemous for the two reverends and even his own brother to be speaking of michael as he did works for the “lord” if it was not true
if MJ was a muslim there would have been a mention of it and jermaine would have officially stated “praise allah my brother is a follower of islam” but he didn’t
who knows, perhaps jesus never left michaels heart?
true fans would know he was a bible follower in his younger days
but its not for me or anyone else to judge
It seems that Michael was searching and wanted to know more about God, Jesus, and the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Whether or not he accepted Christ as Lord of his life only God knows. I’ve been praying that Michael did and that he in with Jesus now. For him to want to know about the anointing of the Holy Spirit suggests that he wanted to have a deeper relationship with God and I’m sure that Andrae and Sandra explained to him that in order for that to happen you have to accept Christ as saviour. Ultimately, God knows for sure and I pray that MIchael did accept Christ. The only way we’ll know is when our time comes and we walk the streets of gold to see if MIchael will be there too.
Praise God and Hallelujah! Is all I have to say.
If you seek you shall find.
RIP MJ – With God now and at rest.

another proof that MJ is in Heaven with God
To:Sohmie Brilemeyer,
Andre and Sandra Crouch have been Born- Again Christians almost as long as I have been alive. Their recording careers spans decades. All I have ever known of them is their love for Jesus. They had a personal as well as professional relationship with Michael Jackson. I highly doubt that in all the times they spent with him and as inquisitive as he was, they would never offer to lead him to Jesus. Michael asked them about the Holy Spirit. I don’t know many people who seek the Holy Spirit that have not already had an encounter with Jesus. Now, I can’t say for sure he accepted Jesus, but the mere fact that he wanted the Holy Spirit says alot. I have never heard a Jehovah’s witness or Muslim even comment on the Holy Spirit. As a christian, you should be “lead” by the Holy Spirit and not your intellect. I think they did exactly what the spirit lead them to do and what ‘s better than that? Perhaps if they would have attempted to lead him in the “Sinner’s Prayer”, he would have rebelled. Only God knows. Sohmie, to say it is a B.S. excuse is disrespectful and it makes you sound bitter and judgmental.
They also say he did Not Reject Jesus. Obviously, there was some conversation about Jesus. Anyway, I pray he did. I love the idea of him forgiven and at peace. After all he went through, I think he deserves that.
To: Marie,
Thank you so much for posting “Darkchild’s” website. Of course I was in tears when he said He,Chris Tucker and his father presented Jesus to Michael Jackson. I suspected Chris Tucker had done so, but to realize he had three “men” witness to him simultaneously, it is more than amazing. God is so kind and gracious.
Thanks for this site. I still need to read more here. I’m an entertainment journalist who has covered both Christian and secular music and I have created a website honoring Michael. You can sign up to be added to the mailing list to know when the site goes “live” at http://www.mjsite.homestead.com
In my research, Michael mentioned God and Jesus often. I believe that he very much believed in God and in Jesus. What I have read here is very encouraging to me. I have prayed often hoping that Michael was right with God and I have asked God and prayed to God many times over this project I’m working on and I have always felt a sense of peace in knowing I am doing the right thing. So I honestly do feel that he was good with God….but to read this has really helped me. Thank you!
Debbie
You know, we are ALL truly sinners here on this earth. NO one is better than anyone else.
I heard it said before that ‘if you train up a child in the way he should go, he will not depart’.
He had a religious background that influenced how he lived his life. He even put God’s name in his pop songs which is a good way of getting the world to even think about God.
I believe his heart was always in the right place, and none of us can judge him lest WE
be judged. He gave a lot to the world through honest love for human kind. Besides, it’s not how he performed on stage or how we would act in public. The important thing is how we are privately that shows who each of us are. That secret is known by God, and will ultimately decide where we all will end up.
It is SO SAD that Andrae Crouch let his sister steal what is rightfully his………….but God gave him a chance, so he can’t say he wasn’t fairly warned…………………
hi i’m a true christian i don’t wear any earrings ,straighten hair ,nail polish, pants.because it is written in the bible not to ‘isaiah ‘chapter 3 v19-26 and ‘deuteronomy 22 v5
I just saw a 1991 video where Andrae Crouch talked about a musical session where he made altar call for salvation and Michael Jackson stepped forward with his hands raised. He said that at the end of it Jackson met him and told him it was phenomenal and even videotaped it. The youtube video of this interview with Andrae Crouch is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Sz9w8pUrpM
Marie has also posted a video where Rodney Jerkins talked about them presenting Jesus to Michael Jackson.
Michael Jackson gave between $300-$500 million of his personal money to the poor, excluding the money he raised. He also had a hunger for spiritual things and I believe he found Jesus because there’s no way God who constantly searches the human heart would overlook his hungry heart and let him depart without someone giving him the answers he so desperately sought.
The rumor about him converting to Islam is false. His brother Marlon denied it saying he was a christian till the time of his death. There’s an article out there on the internet that says a large cross was sitting on his bedroom wall where he died. I pray the millions around the world that he touched would realize he became a Christian before he died.
Just wanted you all to be connected to Andraes FB page. Andrae attended Michael’s funeral on Oct 3 and declared with all confidence that the King of Pop is now in the arms of the King of Kings. Now there are millions of people despondent because of Michael’s passing, but it is up to us Christians to let them know that all they need to do to see him is too accept into their hearts the same Savior he did. Here is the link and the statement Andrae made to Clifton Davis;
Andrae’ has now told Clifton Davis (when he saw him at MJ’s family funeral on Sept. 4) that he is “confident that Michael Jackson knew the Lord.” This was reported by Clifton on TBN’s “Praise The Lord” on 9/8/09, Tuesday night to the world”. You can find the show on TBN’s website on show archives.

Michael Jackson believed in God since he was a child. Why is news like this such a surprise to some people? Isn’t it obvious that he had faith in God? He mentioned Him in tonnes of songs and interviews. Isn’t it obvious, the way he lived to spread the message of LOVE and influence millions of lives?
But it’s still nice to read things like this. I miss him so much.
I thank God that someone witnessed to Michael and, I also thank and praise him for this wonderful life that we are all missing. I have noticed since his death that in his performances there were always moments that look like he is deep in prayer about something. It may have only been a moment but it was there. He seemed to have a deep connection with his creator. The fact that he was asking about the anointing of the Holy Spirit speaks volumes. Also the fact that he did not reject him, but also prayed with Andre and his sister. I have no doubt about Michael’s faith!
I am from Brazil,I love Michael Jackson I know ,he was a cristian!!! Rodney Jerkins (music producer) talks about MJ’s acceptance of Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9tBU0z7oaG4 And One friend of Michael talks about My story of Christian fellowship with the King of Pop http://blogs.myspace.com/in... Michael Cristian Thank you so much Jesus!!!! Sorry the ingles
I have no doubt that Michael made it and I do believe that he sensed his time was nearing. How ironic that he called on Andrae Crouch 3 weeks prior to his passing and handing him 2 unpublished songs and on that visit they prayed and sang “It Won’t Be Long”. Then we have Pastor Dickow and also someone posted in another video Andrae Crouch “It Won’t Be Long” that Minister Kim Clement was at the rehearsal with Michael and that he prayed over Michael and Michael began to spoke in tongues.
Gregory Dickow, Pastor of Life Changers International Church outside Chicago, baffled worshippers when, at the end of this past Sundays Fathers Day service, he looked
into the television camera and stated, I announce to the king of pop, today, my (Heavenly) Father is greater
than all that was done to you and all that youve done and is greater than the hole in your heart and He will fill
it to overflowinghttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N3YmblpSVjU
And more,Michael Jackson Prayed Jesus Christ for Martin Luther King III,

Michael was a christian!!!God bless you!!!!
Camila, that’s amazing. I know that Michael wanted to pray for the anointing of the Holy Spirit but to read that he actually began to speak in tongues; praise the Lord. Thank you Jesus. Praises to your holy name Lord. I’m about to start shouting. Praise the Lord. I know Michael is with Jesus. He knew the Lord as his personal savior. Thank you God. Praise your holy name.
Yes , is amazing, Watching the Pastor Steve Munsey he shared with the congregation that Prophete Kim Clement was with Michael Jackson in the studio 2 days before he passed away.Prophet Kim was talking to him about God and his love and Michael requested for the man of God to pray for him. Prophet Kim told Pastor Steve that he begin to pray for him, and when he laid his hands on Michael, the power of God hit him. He went on to say that before you knew it Michael was speaking in tongues. The church shouted and so did I. Pastor Steve said “that so many people have judged him because of his style and some odd things he has done. But we don’t know someone’s heart, we don’t know the prayers they may pray and we need to stop judging people.” Amen to that! For to long the “church” has set themselves as if they are God and have judged others, but my Bible tells me in Matt. 7:1-2 JUDGE not, that ye be judged. For with what judgement ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. Pastor Steve’s message was “Man In The Mirror,” and it was a powerful message. He played Michael’s song, “Man In The Mirror” while he was ministering. His song speaks a powerful message.
Praise the Lord, Thank you God.
That blesses my heart. It makes me sad that some Christians feels as though they have the right to judge Michael and that they know he “didn’t make it to heaven.” Only God can judge Michae as he will judge us all. He looks at our hearts and he knows who are his. Michael was a child of God and he was chosen by God. Now he is with God in heaven. Praises to the name of our Lord Jesus Christ who can save anyone who wants to be saved.
Michael Jackson is at Peace. He has run the race and completed it. We now need to think of ourselves are we ready if the Lord calls us home today?
I believe with all my heart that Michael knew Jesus and followed his example better than most people I know or have read about. He is with Jesus now and some day we shall see him. It is a good thing heaven will not allow judgemental bigotry to reign. He was sexually expressive with his stage performances in certain songs, freer than most consider to be acceptable, but his heart was much deeper than those songs, and clear in his good works and gentle spirit, the causes he dedicated his life to, and his free expression of following Jesus’ example. How many celebs quote scripture in every interview? I agree with poster #22 and God bless you who shared things here that bring me further joy about Michael.
This just proves that MJ was a Christian. He actually accepted Christ long before this meeting with the Crouches
Ben was my favorite Michael Jackson song and i kind of miss the King of Pop now that he is forever gone. I still have my collection of michael jackson cassetes in the old days..
One day the King of Pop will be in the presence of The King of Kings- Jesus Christ. It is for Jesus to decide where Michael would spend his Eternity.
This message should go a long way to inspire other souls to give their life to Jesus Christ, influence the believers to keep the faith of Christ and the musicians to see that there is only one God who can save us and he is the Lord almighty. Michael is with JESUS ,because he was a child, the bible talks about the pures of heart and
Jesus said that you must enter into the kingdom as little children. His love was global and unconditional especially for children. Home, music, etc. God took the least and made him mighty. His talent came from above. The bible says that love covers a multitude of sin. His parallels with the number 7 (biblical meaning of perfection and completion) are signs that God was vested in his life. He was used for God’s glory and witnessed to billions. Michael was not an accident , but by design.
ShowMeThyWay from Youtube
GOD BLESS!!!
i hope CHRIST did touch him in his last days and draw him close to him to be saved BLESS GOD IF HE IS REALLY IN HEAVEN
Go on http://www.Reflectionsonthedance.com it will tell you all about his Faith in God!!!!
i will really miss the King of Pop. michael jackson is truly the best pop artist in this lifetime.,*-
From what I read, it doesn’t appear that Michael openly accept Jesus Christ as His Lord and Savior; remember, I stated the word “appear.” Only God knows what Michael said, or was thinking in his mind and heart when he met with the Crouch’s. I hope (it is too late to pray) that Michael silently accept Christ as His Savior and Lord, or asked Jesus to be His Savior and Lord. If he did, he is in Heaven; if he didn’t, in which there is a greater chance that he didn’t because of his status, pride, and the things of this world that were pressing hard on him shortly before his death, it is POSSIBLE that he did not make it to Heaven. I will not say or state the other place where he possibly could have wound up. But I hope that Michael J. Jackson made it back to the Creator who created him in the first place. If you did make it Michael, give Jesus a great big hug, and then a kiss for me! – Garry
