Last Sunday while in Church Matthew West’s Pastor shared a very interesting fact about how many words we speak each and every day. In this season of not going through the motions Matthew once again challenges us to use our every day words in a positive and encouraging way. It’s kinda funny this is the same verse that KJ-52 used in this weeks video devotional. I wonder what message God is telling all of us this week through Matthew and KJ-52?
My pastor read a statistic in church that I wanted to pass along to you today. The average person speaks between 25,000 and 50,000 words every single day. Every day! At the end of a week, that would end up being about a novel’s worth of words. What if someone was typing down every word you said today, and you could read them back to yourself? ould you find words that you’re proud of? Words spoken out of anger? Words you would take back if you could?
“Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry.” James 1:18-20
This week, let’s be aware of how easy it is to go through the motions with our words. Think before you speak, and ask God to help you choose your 25,000 words wisely!
