I’ve been saying for a while now that country music is not my thing, but since Chris Sligh helped write Rascal Flatts’ mega hit single “Here’ Comes Goodbye” I’ve been following the release of their new project. Now, rollingstone.com is reporting that their project “Unstoppable” has proven to be just that, selling 351,000 copies in their first week.
This was almost double the sales of the week’s runner-up, “Hannah Montana: The Movie” soundtrack, which jumped from Five last week to Two thanks in part to its dominance at the box office.
I hope and pray that this success helps Chris have the chance to write more songs for Christian and mainstream artists. It’s not only his voice that can remind people about the love of Jesus, but he’s proven that his words can lead them toward Him as well.
