Run Kid Run were formed in 2006 and hail from Carmi, Illinois and Morganfield, Kentucky. Their debut album “This Is Who We Are”, was released that same year and in April of this year David, Neil, Paul & Matt released their second project “Love At The Core” which has the current hit single “Freedom” on it. We got an e-mail from lead singer David sharing how the song is already impacting lives after only 3 weeks of air time.
Before we get to his e-mail you have to listen to the song so you understand why it’s impacting lives.

We have gotten such a great response from so many different people about the song freedom and how it has encouraged them. I believe god gave us that song for a reason so that we can share our struggle of feeling divided within at times with one hand singing god’s praise and the other bringing us shame. Or sometimes our lack of effort…i believe that we are already free if we are a follower of christ….We just need to take that step and walk away from the chains that we hold on too…ok enough from me… the purpose of this blog is i want to hear how god is using the song to encourage you or just what your going through..and not for our glory what so ever…but to encourage other believers and to give glory to the one that has given us this song and this freedom. Here’s a few example emails we have received.I truly believe God uses bands like yours and music like yours (Freedom, etc) to restore souls. I listen and I cry tears of joy that someone understands how I feel. I love the Lord SO much and still…. I want to sin less. I feel the world’s pull (which I hate) and then I hear your song (on Air 1 radio) and it pulls me up out of it. I’m not kidding. I need Him…and Him…. alone.
I also need musicians like you guys to continue to do what you do! When I hear that song I feel so alive and in the spirit!! God is great!I just wanted to say something about your new song “Freedom.”
This song has such healing! God has anointed this song for deliverance of healing to all those bound by the things that we have entangled ourselves in of this world. It ministers to very young and old. I’m 46 and have been a christian for many years and nothing like this song has touched my spirit! Thank you(whomever wrote this song) for allowing God to speak through you to minister to me and all the others who are being changed by the healing force of this God given song! That is such an awesome song. I have to say I had to listen to it again because I had just got the cd a couple of weeks ago and only listened to it a couple of times. I was listening to it on the way to work yesterday.
