Switchfoot To Drop New Project Spring of 2009

August 9, 2008 · Filed Under Artist News

Thanks to our good friend Gator we’ve learned that Switchfoot will be putting out thier seventh studio project in the Spring of 2009. As you may recall they’re no longer signed to a Columbia Records so this will be the first project off their own Lowercase People Records, with distribution from the Dave Matthews-founded ATO Records. Frontman Jon Foreman says…

The new songs have a feel that’s reminiscent of Led Zeppelin and Devo. I feel like the headspace we’re in now, the glass ceiling’s been shattered. We’re excited to see how far we can take this thing.

In other Switchfoot news, they are still working with Columbia Records, but this time to create a greatest hits project that will release this fall.
