Jessica Simpson’s Country Song Part Of ABC-TV Special
Jessica Simpson’s currently holding down the 19th spot on the R & R Country singles chart with “Come On Over,” will now be used by ABC-TV for their special: “CMA Musical Festival–Country’s Night To Rock”. The special will air on Monday, September 8th from 9-11p (ET).
The spots started airing this week and will run through the day of the show. We’re praying and believing that Jessica is making this switch to Country music as an opportunity to share her faith in Christ. I recently came across the song “Angles” which is a cover of Robbie Willaims smash Pop hit, but she takes it to a whole new level…
I don’t care to look at Jessica in the way our current media chooses too. I see her in His new light and I continue to ask you to keep her in prayer as she travels this new road that God is leading her down. Could Christian radio embrace this song and help her and others in their walk?

I’m sorry, but as someone that can, in fact, appreciate country music for what it is, I find it offensive to subtitle the show as “country’s night to rock”. That’s just wrong.
