Earlier this week it was announced that the official 2008 Olympics soundtrack album will contain music from Fireflight. One of their songs was selected for the project, “Olympics 2008: One World, One Dream.” We caught up with Dawn lead singer about this new project…

ST.net: Your manager Mo at Night Vision Management let us in on a little secret that your music will be featured on the new Olympics music project. What song are they going to be using?

Dawn: “Unbreakable”, the title track from our March sophomore release.

ST.net: Do you know if we will be hearing the song during the Olympic games?

Dawn: We aren’t sure, but we hope so!

ST.net: What’s your favorite Olympic sport?

Dawn: Gymnastics, I loved gymnastics when I was young and its unbelievable what those athletes can do!

ST.net: What tour will you be heading out on in the Fall?

Dawn: The Creation Festival Tour with Pillar, Thousand Foot Krutch, Kutless, KJ-52.

ST.net: By any chance have you ever Googled your band?

Dawn:
Sure! Its the best way to discover just how many horrible pictures there are of yourself, posted on the world wide web.

ST.net:
Did you find out any interesting info that even you were surprised to learn?

Dawn: I was surprised to learn we had a Wikipedia page. I thought that was pretty funny. I mean, its not
Encyclopedia Britannica but hey, its still pretty rad.

ST.net: Thanks for your time Dawn, and safe travels this Fall on tour.
