This Beautiful Republic returns August 19th with a new Forefront Records/EMI album, entitled “Perceptions.” The title deals with the idea that there are at least two sides to every story. Things inevitably appear different to each individual based on their experiences, predispositions, prejudices or vantage point. When we understand this, that what we see may not be the whole truth, we arrive where grace and love prevail. A preview of “Perceptions” was released last July 8 release “Learning to Fall,” a three-track digital-only single for just $0.99 that also includes two previous live tracks.

This Beautiful Republic started out in Snactus Real’s home town of Toledo, Ohio in 2004. All of the members in the group went to high school together at Toledo Christian School. They were signed to ForeFront Records in November of 2006. In January of 2007 they released their “Casting Off” EP, t the yreleased their debut full length project “Even Hereos Need A Parachute”, from which they released their first single “Casting Off”, but I feel the single “Right Now” is the best song on the project.
When asked about the origin of the band’s name, Lead singer Ben Olin said…
We wanted something that’s catchy, but that’s something that’s really inclusive. It represents the kingdom of heaven on earth. We get a glimpse when we interact with each other as Christians, and push each other. We hope it’s like the kingdom, pre-heaven
