Last weekend, The Jonas Brothers wrapped up their overseas touring schedule. We’ve been getting you in the know about this amazing young family of musicians over the last few months, but many don’t know about Nick’s daily battle with type 1 diabetes. In fact, he has been performing from an early age while wearing an insulin pump.

In this month’s edition of Diabetes Forecast, the Jonas family took a moment to talk about Nick’s struggle with diabetes, with his mother, Denise Jonas, saying…

Nick is so self-sufficient. Even at that age he was quick to learn how to give himself shots… And I wanted him to take over because I knew I wasn’t going to be around him all the time.

Using his celebrity to help those suffering from the condition, Nick decided to establish a foundation with his brothers called Change for the Children, which gives concert tickets to young fans also stricken with type 1 diabetes. These guys are not only using their musical talent to help others, but in this small little way they’re showing the love of Christ to those that are walking in their shoes everyday.

Here’s their latest single “Burnin’ Up” that is exploding at mainstream radio…
