A few weeks back the boys of MercyMe dropped us their “Cover Tune Grab Bag” for The Bee Gee’s “Staying Alive”. Well, here’s the second third (thanks Norm!) cover song! This time around it’s their version of Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up”.
By the way, before you hit the “play” button, Bart has recorded a follow up to his 2005 “Hymned” project called “Hymned Again” which will hit stores shelves or your computer on August 19th. The first single “I Stand Amazed”, will be released to radio on July 4th, and it features guest vocals by Christy Nockels (Watermark).
It’s actually the third cover tune in the series. They also have a VERY PAINFUL rendition on Cyndi Lauper’s “Girl’s Just Want to Have Fun”.
