Neil Diamond on Regis & Kelly
Our friend Barb let us know that Neil Diamond performed “Pretty Amazing Grace” on “Live with Regis & Kelly” this morning. Here’s what she had to say…
I heard Neil sing his new hit song “Pretty Amazing Grace” on Regis and Kelly this morning. It was good. My only question is…… Did Neil accept the Lord? Is this the experience he is talking about that happened a year and a half ago. If so, welcome to the family of God. It blesses my heart to see someone who has come to the Lord who is in the spot light.
Thanks Barb for taking a few minutes to let us know about his performance today. We too have been discussing and praying the last few months about Neil’s decision to follow God or not. We believe that God has gotten a hold of Neil’s heart and now he’s using his gifts and talent for His purposes.

Neil Diamond also performed “Pretty Amazing Grace” on American Idol this past season as well and the lyrics and way that he sung the song with so much conviction made me wonder about his faith as well. I think when we, as the ransomed, see signs of LIFE, the Spirit that lives inside of us connects with that. (Kind of like the active flutters that babies do inside their Mommies when they hear their Dad’s voice or when an older sibling stops by to talk to them.) Something inside you just knows that you can’t really write lyrics like that without having experienced the reality in them.
