From the inside, looking out, the Christian music scene has almost always been seen as vibrant and worthwhile. Many people over the years haven’t always thought so – and often for good reason.  Karen, over at eztracks.com has written a really good article from someone in the mainstream’s point of view.

I’m not going to say that I agree with everything she says in her article, because for every Christian band that someone says is lame, I can easily point out a mainstream band that is more than a match for what our particular corner of the universe unleashes on the world.  But she does make some valid points in regards to how the overall perception is improving.

There’s no doubt about it, the crossover appeal of a lot of the popular bands in the Positive arena is very high. I know when I see bands like Skillet, Switchfoot and Reliant K and Superchic[k] on the TV at the Gym I go to (Gold’s, if you must know) I get the point that there’s some definite crossover going on.

What’s next… David Crowder Band playing in The House of Blues… Oh, wait…
